🌎Study Visit to Malaysia — Economic and Scientific Mission of the Wielkopolska Province Delegation Organized by
the Marshal’s Office of the Wielkopolska Province
🌎 From June 7–13, 2026, a delegation from the Wielkopolska Voivodeship participated in a study visit to Malaysia, carried out as part of the project “Wielkopolska Smart Specializations – Ecosystem for Climate Neutrality (WIS-E 4 NET ZERO),” funded by the European Union. The delegation visited Kuching in the state of Sarawak and Kuala Lumpur. It was an intensive trip focused on green hydrogen, clean energy, and technologies supporting the energy transition.
🌎 One of the highlights of the program was participation in Asia Pacific Green Hydrogen 2026 in Kuching, where discussions took place with representatives from the government, business, academia, and the energy sector of the State of Sarawak. Particularly valuable was the roundtable discussion between the Wielkopolska and Sarawak regions on hydrogen and clean energy, which provided a better understanding of the directions of hydrogen economy development in Malaysia and opportunities for international cooperation.
🌎 The program also included technical visits to, among others, the Sarawak Biodiversity Center, the Fuel Cell Institute at the National University of Malaysia, and NanoMalaysia Berhad. The visit was a valuable experience and another step forward in the Wielkopolska Region’s active participation in international initiatives concerning the future of energy, innovation, and sustainable development.
